About Me
I’m Yoni Coen, a cinematographer and filmmaker with a passion for crafting light and shadow to tell stories. Growing up in Los Angeles, my journey into filmmaking began in 2008 as I watched my dad put together my Bar Mitzvah video. That moment inspired me to want to create films throughout my childhood and then high school, and eventually led to me earning my BSc in Film Production and Cinematography, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the Los Angeles Film School.
I draw inspiration from the works of the Coen Brothers and Roger Deakins, as well as the unique visual styles of Wes Anderson and Robert Yeoman. Over the past decade, I’ve honed my craft in commercials, music videos, television shows documentaries, and feature films, collaborating with brands like The History Channel, Kia, Disney/Mattel, and Food Network, and working with incredible talents like Charlie Puth, Diana Ross, Glen Powell, and Wiz Khalifa.
Whether it’s shaping dramatic tones for a feature film or crafting a look for a branded commercial, I’m dedicated to bringing stories to life, one frame at a time.
